Biography

Xin Li received his Ph.D. degree in School of Mathematical Science from University of Science and Technology of China in 2008. From 2007 to 2008 and 2015 to 2016, he visited Computer Science of BYU and worked with Prof. Tom Sederberg. And From 2009 to 2010, he visited Computer Science of NTU and worked with Prof. Jianmin Zheng. Since August 2008, he has been a faculty member in the School of Mathematical Sciences.

Award

  • Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award of China(100 for all the PhD in Chinese University);
  • Special Prize of the President Scholarship of Chinese Academy of Sciences (20 for all the PhD in CAS)
  • The second Prize for Ministry of education science and technology;
  • Excellent member in the Youth Innovation Promotion Association of CAS;
  • The excellent young researcher in the China Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics of 2016
    • Research

    My basic research interest is in geometric modeling, computer graphics related subjects. I like to work on challenging problems, which are theoretically significant or practically valuable, in geometric modeling, isogeometic analysis, graphics software development, digital geometry processing, reverse engineering, etc. More specifically, I am interested in the following research topics:

    • Computer aided geometric design and modeling

    • Isogeometric Analysis

    • CAD\CAE\CAM
    • Computer graphics
