Qiang Ling was born in Fufeng, Province of Shaanxi, China, in 1975. He received
the B.S. degree in Automation from Univ. of Science and Technology of China in
1997, the M.E. degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering from Tsinghua University
in 2000 and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Univ. of Notre Dame
in 2005. From 2005 to 2008, he worked as a research staff member in Seagate. He
joined the faculty of Univ. of Science and Technology of China as an Associate
Professor in 2008 and promoted to Professor in 2018.
His current research interests
include networked control systems (with emphasis on feedback dropout and
quantization) and image processing. He published more than 100 papers, more
than 30 Chinese patents and 4 U.S. patents. Dr. Ling was awarded as the Oversea
Elite (by Anhui Province), the Talented Young Researcher (by Chinese Academy of
Science), and the New Century Talent in University (by Ministry of Education of
China).
