Welcome
to The Liu Research
Group in the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, School of Chemsitry and Materials Science at
the University of Science and Technology of China. The current focus of our research group is to explore new methodologies in precision polymer chemistry, synthesize sequence-controllable digital polymers, and to develop sequencing and information safe storage and transport strategies. We are also attempting to actively regulate Protein Coronas of nanoparticles, and to exploit biomedical application of J-aggregate fluorescent dyes. Our utimate goal is to jump out of the scope of conventional polymer science, aiming to contribute new knowledge for the human beings on earth, and arouse interests among colleagues working on interdisciplinary fields inculding life sciences, energy and environmental sciences, and origin-of-life/biological homochirality fields.
Our current research directions are:
-
Precision Polymer Chemistry for Advanced Functional Materials (Sequence-Controlled Polymers and Direct Reading, Digital Polymers and Micelles, Label-Free Quantification, Single-Component EUV Photoresists, Secure lnformation Storage and Transport).[More]
-
Functional Molecules and Polymers with Controlled Chain Topologies for Advanced Functions.[More]
-
Active Regulation of Protein Coronas of Soft Matter NPs and Molecular Engineering of Clinically Used Fluorescent Dyes (Ring Strain Strategy towards J-Aggregates).[More]
-
Amphiphilic Prodrugs and Polyprodrugs with Stimuli-Triggered Degradation and Release Features.[More]
-
Molecular Parity Violation: Far-from-Equilibrium, Self-Replicating and Autocatalytic Reactions under Far-From-Equilibrium Conditions for Assayming Intrinsic Differences between L- and D-Type Amino Acids (Origin of Biological Homochirality)
-
Supramolecular Self-Assembly of Amphiphilic Block Copolymers, and Bilayer Permeability Tuning of Polymersomes and Lipid Vesicles.[More]
