Main Topic
My current research focuses on understanding wave-particle interactions in geospace, particularly the energy exchange between energetic electrons and one of the most peculiar plasma waves named chorus. This wave is so called because it sounds like birds chirping at dawn if listened through a proper radio equipment. You can find some samples of sounds of chorus from Dr. Gurnett’s page or from measurements made by the recently launched Van Allen probes.
