School of Mathematics, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities: I was a Ph.D student from August 1996 to May 2000, when I got my Ph.D degree, under the instruction of Prof. Greg W. Anderson.

Department of Mathematics, University of Toronto: From July 2000 to June 2003, I was a postdoctoral fellow there. My postdoctoral advisor was Prof. V. Kumar Murty.

Department of Mathematical Sciences, Tsinghua University: I was an associate professor there from July 2003 to January 2007.

• Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques (IHÉS): one of the best places in the world for mathematical research, where I was a visiting scholar on 01/2001-06/2001, 01/2006-03/2006, 07/2006.
• Master ALGANT (ALgebra, Geometry And Number Theory): the only Erasmus Mundus Master Program of European Commission in pure mathematics, for which I was a visiting professor in 2006 and 2007.
