Biography

Yongkun Li is a professor in School of Computer Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology of China. Before that, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Institute of Network Coding, working with Prof. John C. S. Lui and Prof. Patrick P. C. Lee. He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in August 2012, advised by Prof. John C. S. Lui, and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from University of Science and Technology of China in July 2008. He is now mainly focusing on data-intensive computing and storage systems, parallel and ditributed systems, key-value systems, and cloud computing, etc. He is a member of CCF/ACM/IEEE, and a member of Youth Innovation Promotion Association CAS.

Research Interests

• Large-scale parallel/distributed storage systems, with emphasis on file systems, memory systems, key-value systems, SSDs, NVRAM, etc.
• Virtualization and cloud computing, with emphasis on memory management and resource scheduling for VM, containers, and serverless computing, etc.
• Storage support for various applications, such as machine learning systems, graph analysis, and distributed DB, etc.
