Zhen Kan (阚震), Ph.D., Professor
Zhen Kan received his Ph.D. degree in 2011 from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida. After completing his doctoral studies, he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Eglin AFB and University of Florida REEF from 2012 to 2016, and then worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Iowa. In 2019, he joined the Department of Automation at the University of Science and Technology of China. His current research interests include control of networked complex systems, Lyapunov-based nonlinear control, robotics, and formal methods. He currently serves on program committees of several internationally recognized scientific and engineering conferences and is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control and IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems.
