Transportation : from Shanghai to Hefei

There are direct flights daily from Shanghai to Hefei. There will be shuttle buses taking guests from the airport to our hotel.

One can also take high-speed rail. There are several dozens of trains each day from Shanghai to Hefei which takes about three hours. However, we do not recommend this mode of transportation as it is not possible to reserve a ticket online and it often takes a long time on waiting lines to purchase tickets at train stations. 

 

How to get to USTC

 

By Taxi

Please take a taxi from the railway station or the Hefei airport to the east campus of USTC, No.96, JinZhai Road BaoHe District,Hefei,Anhui

请把我送到：合肥市金寨路96号，中国科学技术大学东区

Please get off at the North Gate of USTC on the Huangshan Road

请在黄山路上的科大北门下车

 

By Bus 

Take No. 1／No.108 Bus from the railway station and get off at the "中国科技大学" stop.

You should also consult your local Chinese embassy or consulate and their webpage for more accurate information for your visa application.

Make sure you start your visa application as soon as possible.

If the official invitation letter is needed please contact the conference secretary.

 

About Exchange

Please have your currency exchanged before arrival or at the airport. The local transportation services only take Chinese Yuan (RMB). Of course, you can exchange for RMB at Bank of China anywhere in China. Please bring your passport when you make the exchange. Banks and their airport branches are the only legal money exchange authorities in China. Besides, if you would like to take bus, please prepare some short changes of ONE RMB YUAN because there is no ticket seller on the bus.
