Our research is focused on the synthesis and characterization of polyolefins from new types of organometallic catalysts. The four critical “pillars” for the research are:
(1) organic chemistry related to the synthesis and characterization of the ligands;
(2) organometallic chemistry related to the synthesis and characterization of the metal catalysts;
(3) catalytic chemistry related to the assessment and modification of catalytic properties of the metal catalysts;
(4) polymer chemistry related to the synthesis and characterization of polyolefin materials.
