UHV Vector Magnetic Field STM

USM-1300 Ultra high vacuum vector magnetic field STM designed and manufactured by Unisoku (Japan) was built at August 2018. The helium-3 refrigeration system ensures STM working stably at 300 mK. A vertical high magnetic field with 9T(z) - 2T(x and y) and 10GHz high-frequency electric field are applied in the research of the low-dimensional superconductor, topological superconductor and the Majorana exploration.


Integrated UHV cluster platform

The integrated UHV cluster platform is a self-made platform for the low-dimensional quantum materials growth, device fabrication and measurement. It is mainly composed of: 1) the variable temperature STM system (finished); 2) in-situ material growth platform (three molecular beam epitaxy finished); 3) in-situ electrode preparation and integrated measurement platform (in-situ device fabrication system, the LEED system and integrated measurement platform, partially finished); 3) mechanical exfoliation system (two glove boxes for exfoliation and sample-transfer system, under construction); 4) separable vacuum system (two separable MBE, separable optical/ferroelectric measurement, sample test system, two vacuum suitcases, etc., under construction).The platform is expected to be finished at spring, 2022.


UHV Low Temperature STM

The low temperature STM with function of Q-plus atomic microscopy was designed and manufactured by CREATEC, Germany. The system can be used to study the local electronic density of states and superconductivity characteristics under minimum temperature of 5K. This equipment is mainly applied to develop and research novel two-dimensional materials.

The photoelectric and ferroelectric measurement platform is mainly composed of: 1) high-temperature four probe measurement; 2) photoelectric measurement in vacuum for gas adsorption; 3) DSC analyzer; 4) LCR measurement; 5) LC measurement.
