Ms. Meixia Cheng joined the lab as a technician. Welcome!

The following positions are available immediately:

1. Associate Professor (three positions)

This is a tenure-track position with an initial contract up to three years and could be extended for a longer time. The candidate is recommended by the PI and his/her eligibility will be evaluated by the School of Life Sciences academic committee. Successful candidates will receive a startup package and are expected to perform independent research in the Sun lab by supervising graduate students and writing grant proposals. Further promotion to a permanent (tenured) position will be proceeded according to the relevant policy at USTC. Competitive salaries are paid by both USTC and the Sun Lab, with additional compensations paid from his/her own research grants.

Minimal requirements: Ph. D. degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or closely related areas, excellent publications, and extensive research experience as a postdoctoral associate are preferred.

2. Postdoctoral Associates (multiple positions)

This position is supported by USTC for up to three years and the successful candidates will receive a generous salary package from USTC. Additional compensations paid by the lab are also possible.

Minimal requirements: A Ph. D. degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or closely related areas, excellent publications.

3. Research Associates (multiple positions)

This position is supported by the Sun Lab for an initial appointment up to three years and could be extened for a longer time. Successful candidates will receive a generous salary package paid by the Sun Lab, and are expected to perform research with minimal supervision by the PI.

Minimal requirements: An MS degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or closely related areas with publications in SCI journals.

4. Technicians (multiple positions)

This position is supported by the Sun Lab, and successful candidates will receive a generous salary package as well as relocation fees.
