Professor Bin Jiang received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees at Nanjing University in 2007 and 2012, respectively, under the supervision of Prof. Daiqian Xie. After that he worked with Prof. Hua Guo as a postdoctoral researcher at University of New Mexico for three years. In 2015, he joined Department of Chemical Physics at University of Science and Technology of China. His research interests focus on machine learning method development and applications to potential energy surfaces across gas-phase and gas-surface interfaces, as well as quantum/classical dynamics of gas-surface reactions. He has published more than 120 peer-reviewed papers including those on Science, Nat. Commun., PNAS, J. Am. Chem. Soc/JACS Au, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Phys. Rev. Lett., Chem. Sci., J. Phys. Chem. Lett., etc., which have been cited by more than 4800 times (H-index=41).
Prof. Jiang has been invited to serve on the Early Career Editorial Advisory Board of The Journal of Chemical Physics (2021-2022). He has been delivering invited talks at several prestigious international conferences on chemical reaction dynamics, including the Gordon Research Conference on Dynamics at Surfaces (2017, 2019), Stereodynamics (2016, 2018), iCOMET (2019), as well as ISMB (2021). He has been a member of the Professional Committee of Chemical Dynamics in Chinese Chemical Society (2017-2022). He is the receipt of the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars (2017).
