• Prof. Rainer Fink, a professor in physcial chemistry from Friedrich-Alexander-Universitaet Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany visited our laboratory from April 12 to 15, 2015 and gave a seminar talk entitled "Recent developments in soft x-ray micro spectroscopy and their application to soft matter" on April 13.

• Prof. Junfa Zhu and three group members, Dr. Huanxin Ju, Xiao Pan and Wei Zhang, went to Taiwan Light Source to do experiments at 24A1 Beamline from Sept. 28 to Oct. 8, 2014.
  
  
• Prof. Junfa Zhu was invited to give a plenary talk in the 3rd Cross-Strait Synchrotron Radiation Research Symposium, Sept. 21-24, 2014, Shanghai. The title of his talk is "The application of synchrotron radiation soft X-ray spectroscopies in the studies of surface and interface physical chemistry of complex systems".
  
  
• Dr. Yingge Du from EMSL, Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), Richland, USA visited our lab from Sept. 17 to 19, 2014. He gave a seminar talk entitled "The impact of oxygen stoichiometry on the structure and properties of MBE grown oxide thin films" on Sept. 18, 2014 at 10:00 in Room 210, Building #3,in NSRL.

• Our guest professor, Prof. Hans-Peter Steinrueck, from University of Erlangen-Nuernberg, Germany visited our group from April 15 to April 30, 2014. He gave a 90-min lecture in the course of "Synchrotron Radiation Techniques and their Applications" to graduate students entitled "High-resolution X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy" in the morning of April 28 at lecture room 3A416.In addition, he gave a talk entitled "Surface Chemistry with Porphyrinoids" at 16:00 in the lecture room 210, Building #3 in NSRL.
