VLSI Architecture & CAD Lab

The VLSI Architecture & CAD Laboratory focuses on the research and development of (1) application-specific hardware architectures, (2) design automation algorithms, design methodologies, and tools for VLSI/SoC and emerging technologies. The current research topics include (but not limited to):

  1. Electronic Design Automation (VLSI CAD): High-level design automation (An Introduction) and Physical design automation (A book for beginners ), especially floorplanning, placement, etc.
  2. VLSI Architecture: Network-on-Chip ( Netowrks on Chips ) Syntheis, On-Chip Router Design, Realtime image processing chip design, etc.
  3. Reconfigurable Computing (Examples, FPGA-based Computation)
  4. Computer-aided design for emerging technologies, e.g. Microfluidic biochips, Quantum Circuits

Wecome students with a background of microelectronics, computer science, or mathematics, etc. (songch@ustc.edu.cn)
